As of May, 2008, Pattaya now has its very own Beer Garden! Named (appropriately) the Pattaya Beer Garden From the owner, Pattaya Pete: The Pattaya Beer Garden is a chill out bar where you can relax, get good reasonably priced food, cheaper drinks than most other bars, chat with friends, and check out the freelancers (i.e., “Ladies of easy virtue”). It is not a party bar nor does it provide “entertainment” other than good food, cheap drinks, rock music (played at a volume low enough to have a conversation), and - most important - an ever I fully understand that a beer garden will not be to everyone’s liking, but you may be surprised by just how many guys do want this sort of bar. What has surprised me is that the ladies seem to have grasped the concept quicker than the guys. It seems a lot of Pattaya guys have not visited the Beer Garden in Bangkok and don’t understand how it works. |

The ladies will not chase you in the Beer Garden. All the ladies are available but you need to indicate some interest before they will approach you. A simple smile, nod of the head, or a wave will usually do the trick.
This is not a high school dance, guys. SMILE at the girls. They’ll come over. They won’t take you home to meet Dad. Really, they won’t.
The foolproof approach which I have not seen fail yet is to walk over to the girl and say hello. After that, Pattaya and nature take their course easily and hassle free. Remember, there are no barfines or lady drinks at The Pattaya Beer Garden.
Some guys tell me they worry that a particular girl is not available so they don’t approach her. Here is the answer: If a girl is sitting alone or with a group of girls, she is available.
No doubt about it. Just say Hi and all will flow from there.
Last night I was circulating amongst the girls who were all keen to go with me and do what boys and girls like to do (a shame Ann was there). But they were also happy to just chat. If you don’t want to be bothered you won’t be. If you do want to be bothered you need to be a bit pro-active.
Some Important Math
One other thing I should mention is the ratio of stunners to non-stunners.
In Bangkok’s Soi 7 Beer Garden, I’d say about 50% of the girls rate less than a 5 (on a scale from 1 to 10), 35% are 6-7, and about 15% would rate at 7-8 with the occasional 9 thrown in.
So far our ratios look much the same.
If you are looking for the most beautiful girl in Pattaya, it is unlikely she will be at the Beer Garden. On the other hand, if a nice solid 7 is OK, you will be happy.
Between 3 and 5 each afternoon, and then again between 9 and 11 in the evening, they have been arriving in considerable numbers to check us out.
So here’s the thing about the Beer Garden. It is different. It is targeted to certain type of guys - guys who like freelancers but don’t like loud discos.
The music is rock, the beer is cold, and the ladies are available. If that suits you then you’ll probably like the place. On the other hand, if you want a non-stop party then you need to look elsewhere.
Location
The Pattaya Beer Garden is located just before the entrance to Walking Street on the right hand side coming from Beach Road. It’s just after the water pumping plant. Walk down the alley next to the Siren Beer Bar complex (the one with the Muay Thai boxing ring).
The Beer Garden is at the back on the pier overlooking the water.
